Hillary is out there saying that commerce could grind to halt. Obama and Bush both think that this bailout needs to happen. Yet most American’s do not want it. A lot economists have come out and said this is a bad idea and to let the market run and fix itself.

Last week I wrote an article about what real leadership would be during a time of “crisis” like this. I have not seen to many politicians stand up and do this. Stand up and say that the economy can fix itself, that government involvement will only make this worse. That yes we have some tough times ahead getting ourselves out of this funk, but we can and we will.

Instead of trying to bailout banks that made risky decisions and bailout people who made bad financial choices, why don’t we let those and these people learn a few things. Those banks will be picked up by other institutions, its already happened. We don’t need a government bailout, we can do it ourselves. Yes, people will lose homes, they will lose homes that they were not paying for to begin with. Yes, it sucks to see that happen, but you know what, I am not losing my home, I work hard day in and day out to pay for my house and cover my bills. I got a house that I could afford. Most American’s have and the rest need to learn the same thing we have.

Leaders. Yeah there are some them around here. Bloggers like Michelle Malkin point out that the sky is not falling and debunking rumors. Radio hosts like Rush Limbaugh telling us how it is, what went wrong, how we can fix it and educating us as always. Representative Richard Shelby who said no to the bailout from the get go.

Open your eyes people. Not to what you want to see, but to the truth. Open your eyes to what caused this crisis and to what needs to be done. Open your eyes and ears and hear what people saying. We have leaders out there, telling us not always what we want to hear, but what we need to hear.
