Time to Take the Party Back
Posted: October 8th, 2008 under General
Michelle Malkin is right, this election cycle is “Screwed ‘08“. I was not really keen on McCain, never have been and never will be. He is not a true republican and is far from a fiscally conservative republican given his latest idea of buying up bad mortgages costing us another $300 billion. Truth is though, you can not say we did not see this coming. Everyone knew that Sarah Palin was chosen to give conservatives a nod and free McCain up to go after his precious moderates. But know they have Sarah taking some more “moderate” stances and not taking some solid “right wing nut job” stances. Slowly put surely as republicans have fought to carry on the legacy of Reagan, they have managed to destroy it.
Truth is not many of those republicans leading this nation have the balls that Reagan did. I could not see to many of the standing up to Gorbachev and telling him how things were going to be. Reagan did not reach across the aisle, he reached out to the American people and led them. To often today politics does not involve leading the public, educating them about what is need and what is not, it does not involve listening to what the people want and instead involves the appearance of things. The appearance of action and leadership, the appearance of doing what is best for Americans. Reagan reached out and told Americans what he thought needed to be done and asked them to join him. Our current congress and president do not do that. They warn of dire consequences of inaction and then say “trust us”.
Some people say to join a third party. But honestly, screw that. Third parties bitch and moan that republicans and democrats are corrupt and answer only to big interest lobbyists. Honestly, I think they just want a piece of the pie. If America becomes socialist, and I am scared we are heading there, I would not up and move somewhere else, I would fight for change and to free the nation I love from socialism. So why should I not fight for the republican party? If they answer only to special interests, why do we vote? Elected officials are accountable to us, it is our job to see that we hold them accountable. It is our failing to do so that has led us to this mess and now its our job to fix it.
The next four years are going to be tough no matter who gets elected, tougher with Obama in my opinion than with McCain. We face some major turning points as a nation and it is the people that guide our choices. We elect the people “leading” our nation. Maybe its time to send a message to them. Something needs to change and if it is not going to happen at the top, maybe it needs to start at the bottom.
Its time to take the party back.
Apparently I am not the only one that feels this way.
-Fight the fight

I made this post a while back…you might like it:
Republican Party Passes Away
Washington - The Republican Party also known as the “GOP” passed away yesterday at the age of 154. Long regarded as the founding base for fiscal and social Conservatives, the party’s life was cut short by its offspring with the naming of Senator John McCain as the new leader of a recently born effort called “The Consocialists”, in an effort to distort and erase the true principles that were once clearly defined in the Republican Party platform.
A rolling over of the grave ceremony is expected to take place nationwide in memory of the Republican Party on November 4th. Expected to take part in the ceremony include such former members as Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, Abraham Lincoln, John C. Fremont, Ulysses S. Grant, Theodore Roosevelt, William Howard Taft, Warren G. Harding, Calvin Coolidge, Dwight D. Eisenhower among others.
Burial will take place at the Capitol Steps in Washington,D.C. on January 20th, 2009 with services being administered by the Democratic National Committee.
The ceremony will commence with a reading of the Oath of Office by Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barack Hussein Obama.
Donations are not necessary, if you wish to send flowers it is recommended you leave them at the grave personally as you will face a death tax after the Oath of Office is read.
Arrangements made by RINO/CINO and the North American Union Alliance.

Sounds to me like you strongly oppose McCain’s #1 debate point, yet you still seem to imply that you will vote for him. I am not sure how you think that you can “take the party back” while still voting for McCain.
Summary — McCain doesn’t need to have “the balls that Reagan did” b/c he has yours in his hand and is painfully crushing them while you say, “Thank you sir, may I have another?”
